Sports PR Summit and Meltwater Announce Partnership

March 28, 2017

NEW YORK, NY (March 28, 2017) – The Sports PR Summit (@SportsPRSummit) announced a partnership with Meltwater (@Meltwater) for the 2017 Sports PR Summit on May 23 at The Players’ Tribune (@ThePlayersTribune) in New York City.

As part of the partnership, Meltwater will be the exclusive sponsor of the Sports PR Summit VIP Green Room. In addition, Meltwater will promote its Executive Alerts to the senior PR executives who will be attending the Sports PR Summit. Executive Alerts is designed specifically for busy senior executives to get daily email and mobile alerts about only the most critical crises and opportunities about their players, coaches, stadium, rivals, industry, and more. It uses leading machine learning technology to automatically detect important anomalies across online data like social media, search engine ad spend, news, and more. Always be the first to know when something noteworthy happens around your team, without any extra time or logging in needed.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the Sports PR Summit,” said Mike Gorodisher, Head of Meltwater Executive Alerts. “With billions of conversations taking place online everyday, it’s previously been impossible to keep up with what’s being said about your team, players, rivals, or sponsors, but that changes now. We can’t wait to empower senior executives to make sound decisions based off of real-time insights.”

“Our partnership with Meltwater Executive Alerts is a great match for the senior communications executives who attend the Sports PR Summit,” said Sports PR Summit Founder and CEO Brian Berger. “Our attendees love tools that allow them to be more efficient and on top of the conversations about their athletes, teams or brands and Executive Alerts is a valuable tool.”

Launched in 2013, the Sports PR Summit is an invite-only event that brings together senior PR executives from the pro and collegiate sports ranks as well as from top sports corporations for panel discussions and valuable face to face networking opportunities. Prominent media members and athletes share candid insights about the best ways for PR executives to work most effectively with them. The event allows for all attendees to leave with a better understanding of the evolving communications issues and challenges in the sports industry.

Ross, Boston Celtics NBA all-star Isaiah Thomas, WNBA legend Lisa Leslie, ESPN reporter Jeremy Schaap, Sports Illustrated Executive Editor and Senior Writer Jon Wertheim and Arizona Diamondbacks President & CEO Derrick Hall.
