Junior Sports PR Summit to Debut on May 18 at Edelman Penthouse in NYC

Big news to share today as the Sports PR Summit is expanding its reach. The Sports PR Summit is an invite-only event for 100 senior communications executives from across the sports world. Because our event is for senior executives only, I’ve been asked by non-senior communications executives and students if we’d consider adding an event to our schedule for them. I’m excited to announce that in partnership with our official academic partner, the Marist College Center for Sports Communication, we are launching the Junior Sports PR Summit.

Our first Junior Sports PR Summit will take place on Monday evening, May 18th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm at the Edelman Public Relations penthouse floor in New York City. We’re thrilled that Edelman is hosting our event and appreciate their support! Their offices are state-of-the-art and the view from their penthouse deck is spectacular.

The Junior Sports PR Summit will allow for students and junior communications executives to network as well as interact with a panel of experts that will include Gary Sussman (VP of PR for Brooklyn Nets), Joe Favorito (longtime senior PR executive, consultant and author), Christine Thomas (VP at United Entertainment Group, the sports, entertainment and experiential arm of Edelman Public Relations) and Gina Lehe (Senior Director of Communications and Brand Management, College Football Playoff). Keith Strudler, Director of the Marist College Center for Sports Communication will moderate the panel discussion. The panel will focus on career advancement strategies and tips for getting ahead in the Sports PR industry.
